The 3DS Still Beats Out the Vita in Japan
Despite that it's not out here in the states, the PlayStation Vita is currently out in Japan. Its release was met with the usual kinds of enthusiasm and long lines. And it has met tons of favorable praise from the hordes of Sony faithful as well as local Japanese media outlets. However, when it comes to making comparisons with its competitor, Nintendo and its 3DS, that's a bit of a different story.
The sales numbers from the latest reports show that Nintendo still dominates the portable gaming console market, despite the huge sales of the Vita. According to some

3DS Owners! Want the Second 3DS Pad? It's Only at Gamestop.
So if you're a 3DS owner, you've heard about the new add-on for Nintendo's portable console, the Circle Pad Pro. The Circle Pad Pro, a $20 add-on will add a right analog stick and two more shoulder buttons, will only be sold at Gamestop, according to Kotaku.
So you'll only be able to get this peripheral via your local Gamestop or through their website. Which I think from a gamer's standpoint to be exclusively stupid and inane. I was born and raisedin middle of nowhere

Summer is now fully underway, and most gamers have sunk their teeth into whatever they can get their hands on. Here is a quick rundown of observations I have made of the current gaming world. E3 released lots of exciting news and at the forefront for me, is the battle between Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3, and exactly how cool is PS Vita going to be? As graphically appealing as Battlefield 3 looks, I still cant help but shake the feeling that what it boils down to is a preference in gameplay, and Call of Duty has become just too familiar for most gamers to let go of just yet.
My neighbors across the hall have been playing way WAY too much Dirt 3, but Im sure that will end when Forza 4 comes out. If PS Vita was cool enough to make me not feel so bad about skipping out on the Ocarina of Time remake that exploded onto the 3DS. I mean that as a serious game title to compete against, and nothing in PS Vitas lineup looks as impressive as perhaps

There is a trend in 2011 game releases that has us very excited. This being the debut of refurbished classic gaming titles, which feature updated graphics, and improved game play that is consistent with the original titles. Two of the most prominent remakes are Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time 3D, both of which are poised to be excellent new additions to the already highly popular originals.
In light of these classic remakes, I have been going back over the

Jack Tretton of Sony states some harsh words for gamers, especially 3DS owners.
Okay so after finding this technology article from Fortune Magazine's online site, I think you can see what myself (and about 99% of the gaming community) thinks about this statement. Frankly, I think Jack just probably shot himself in the foot with this statement, probably thinking no one in the gaming community would find it on Fortune Magazine's site.
It's proof that this man (not the company)

Nintendo's 3DS units in Japan, only about half have been sold.
According to this article (if you can read Japanese), when the 3DS was released, Nintendo claimed that 1.5 million of the 4 million handhelds were heading to Japan by the end of March. According to Japanese sales trackers like Media Create, there are a ton of unsold units in Japan. The sales trackerreports that only 836,000 3DS units have been sold, meaning Nintendo hasn't hit the one million mark in Japan. About 664,000 units from
