The first For Honor season has recently come to an end, and as a result, a brand new season in For Honor with new maps and heroes is set to go live.
The new season will go live on May 16 and will coincide with a big content update, featuring maps and new playable heroes. The next season has been codenamed Shadow and Might.
The two new For Honor heroes are named the Shinobi and the Centurion - both offer new experiences for both spectrums of the combat field. "The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer's grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama," while "The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defenses through strategic close-quarters combat."
The new Shadow and Might season will also add a new class of gear - this gear will be even rarer than any previous gear tiers and has been

Codemasters has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming racing game, Dirt 4, and it already looks absolutely spectacular.
The trailer is only a minute long, but it does show off some good in-game footage from some off-road tracks, as well as some more traditional off-road racing spots. The game also features the song Instigators by Grace Potter - we feel like it's a fitting choice. It'll be one of the forty songs that will accompany Dirt 4's soundtrack upon the game's release.
Speaking of release, Dirt 4 has booked a North American release date of June 6th, 2017. The rest of the world will receive the game on June 9th. Dirt 4 will be available for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Dirt 4 will come with 50 off-road ready vehicles at launch, including the Ford Fiesta R5, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, Subaru WRX STI NR4 and Audi Sport quattro S1 E2. The game will feature rally locations across Australia, Spain, Michigan, Sweden, and Wales. Players will have access to the

After a lot of discussion from esports analysts and pro players, the Shockwave ability in Infinite Warfare has finally been banned in CWL matches.
Going forward, any CWL matches will no longer allow the Shockwave ability and we wouldn't be surprised if other event organizers outside of the CWL circuit follow suit.
For those unaware, the Shockwave ability was something that the Merc combat rig could use if they equipped it on their loadout. With Shockwave, players were able to jump into the air and then use thrusters to quickly hit the ground below them, killing any players in the nearby area. Because of the verticality of many Infinite Warfare maps, it was too easy for Merc players to get the high ground and take easy kills on players passing by.
To begin with, Shockwave wasn't too difficult to counter, but in April the Shockwave received a buff that made it hard to counter. Unsurprisingly, Shockwave has now received a ban from CWL events - we'd expect it to get a slight

A brand new GTA Online adversary mode has gone live for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. The new adversary mode is called Land Grab, and it is somewhat reminiscent of the Tron bike game mode that was added last year.
"Claim what's rightfully yours in Land Grab, the latest mode to invade GTA Online. Every minute counts in Land Grab, where teams battle to control territory in an unforgiving cyberspace: shoot the other guy in the neck, grab his turf, reload and repeat. If you don't do it, someone will do it for you."
Players must run over neon-colored tiles on the Land Grab maps to claim the tiles for their team. By doing so, the tiles will change to a player's team color. Players can fight it out on foot while fighting for territory. The team with the highest number of tiles once the clock runs down will be crowned the winner.
The Land Grab maps feature some close quarters action, so you'll want to pull out your assault rifles, SMGs, and shotguns. You'll quickly be thrown

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now available on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. The news hit via an announcement post on the Xbox news website.
The new Black Ops 2 backwards compatible version is free to everybody that already owns the physical or digital version of Black Ops 2 on Xbox 360. If players do not own Black Ops 2, they can now purchase a digital copy for their Xbox One from the Xbox Games Store.
Currently, the digital copy of Black Ops 2 on the Xbox One is on sale with a 60% discount for those with Xbox Live Gold and a 50% discount for those who do not have an active Gold subscription. The sale will continue until April 17.
Unsurprisingly, the newly available backwards compatible Black Ops 2 has brought thousands of Xbox One players back to the title. With recent numbers, it looks as if the new Black Ops 2 player base may even surpass the current Infinite Warfare player base. It's great to see the Xbox One backwards compatibility program grow to support

A brand new patch for Ghost: Recon Wildlands has arrived for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The patch, which is codenamed 3.0, comes in at a hefty 5.3GB.
In the new update, new season challenges have been added to Ghost Recon: Wildlands. These new challenges can offer players rewards for completing. Each season will be themed, with the first starting in this new patch. The first season is named "The Rise and Fool of Unidad" and will encourage players to take down Unidad operators.
Season challenges will be reset every Wednesday, so players will be able to come back each week to earn more rewards each season. Players can earn up to three rewards each week as well.
A bunch of other changes and tweaks have been added in Ghost: Recon Wildlands, including improvements to "narrative content delivery," which essentially means AI ghost dialogue has been improved. The radio playlist in cars has been randomized too, so you shouldn't find yourself listening to the same songs each time

A big new update has hit the Overwatch servers and players are getting hyped up. The new Overwatch Insurrection adds a brand new PvE mode, a bundle of new skins and plenty of new item unlocks via a brand new in-game chest.
The new in-game loot box from the Overwatch Insurrection adds a total of 100 new in-game items, including some impressive new skins.
The main focus of the new Overwatch Insurrection update, however, is the new PvE game mode. In the new game mode, teams of four can go up waves of incoming robot AI opponents. In the main PvE game mode, players must fight as Reinhardt, Tracer, Mercy, and Torbjorn. There is a secondary version of the same game mode where players are able to pick and choose their own heroes.
The main PvE game mode increases in difficulty as players fight their way through it. At the end, players will go up against an Orisa-like boss. This new PvE game mode will only run until May 1, so if you want to give it a go, make sure to round up

A brand new Xbox One Insider update showcases some of the new upcoming features we can expect for the Xbox One, including a brand new Copilot controller mode.
The new Copilot controller mode will allow players to assign two controllers to a single control input. This opens up the opportunity for better accessibility for those with disabilities or better support for parent-child gameplay.
Here's an example of the Copilot controller mode in action: A parent can switch on copilot mode while watching their child play the new Yooka Laylee game. The parent can spectate, but when the child comes across a part they're finding too difficult, the parent can jump in to help with their own controller. Both the parent's controller and the child's controller will be able to control the characters in Yooka Laylee.
Alternatively, if a user has a disability that makes it difficult for them to access all of the buttons on a single controller at once, they now have the option to split

A brand new Titanfall 2 update has gone live on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The new Titanfall 2 update is named Colony Reborn and it's completely free to all Titanfall 2 owners. The new update adds a brand new map, a new weapon and a number of other changes and overall tweaks.
Besides the free content, there are also two new prime titans and 20 new camos, banners and patches are available for purchase. The two new titans are named Northstar and Legion. The first is a lightweight, speedy Titan, while Legion is a bulkier titan, equipped with a gattling gun.
The new free map is called Colony - this is actually a map that first made its appearance in the original Titanfall game. Old school Titanfall players should be happy to get their hands on this in Titanfall 2 - it's a close-quarters map that gave those on foot plenty of buildings to travel between while fighting titans.
The new weapon is the R-101 - this is also a throwback to the original Titanfall game. The R-101C
