Nintendo is raking in the dough after the launch of its hotly anticipated Pokemon Sword and Shield games, selling more than six million copies in its first week and becoming the fastest-selling Switch game of all-time.
The game launched on November 15th, and saw the staggering amount of copies sold in the short time following. While both games are “technically” two titles, they’re virtually the same, and it seems that The Pokemon Company is treating them as such. Sword and Shield are the first true Pokemon games developed for a home console, bringing a full RPG experience to television screens. Of course, players are more than able to take their system off the dock and play on the go (which is exactly how I play mine).
The success of the game shouldn’t be a surprise. There’s a huge global appetite for Pokemon games, as players love searching the world for all of the critters and then battling with others. The most recent release before Sword and Shield were Let’s Go: Pikachu!

This year’s release of Resident Evil 2 Remake from Capcom was a stunning success, bringing in millions of dollars for the Japanese developer. Well, it appears that they’re not resting on their laurels, as rumors of a Resident Evil 3 Remake are getting louder and louder.
Multiple sources have claimed that they’re hearing a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is being developed, putting us in the boots of former S.T.A.R.S. agent Jill Valentine as she works to escape the doomed Raccoon City during the outbreak that takes place during Resident Evil 2.
The game was similar to the first two entries into the series but mixed in a dynamic where the Umbrella Corporation’s Nemesis bioweapon chases Jill throughout the campaign, becoming instantly more terrifying than any of the other zombies or monsters you encounter in the game.
Thus far we haven’t gotten any firm details on the rumored game, but it’s possible that the game could be launched in 2020, possibly seeing it as a cross-generation

While Google is flubbing the launch of its Stadia game streaming service, a surprising competitor may be ready to jump into the fray, with Amazon reportedly set to launch a service next year.
The company is reportedly set to announce the service sometime early next year, and it’s believed that it would be ready in time to compete with the launch of both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett. Details on just what the product would entail aren’t known yet, but it’s likely that the service would include integration with Twitch, whom Amazon owns. Twitch is the dominant streaming platform for games, easily eclipsing Microsoft’s Mixer and YouTube in terms of viewers.
Amazon has a solid backbone for internet services, as their web servers power a good chunk of the internet’s traffic. Because of this, it’s likely that Amazon wouldn’t run into issues deploying the game to large numbers of players at the same time.
Whether there’s a service that resembles something like GamePass, or

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and you know what that means: football, filling foods, fighting with your family… and awesome Black Friday deals on video games.
By this point, the major ads from retailers have mostly all leaked, and we’ve gone through to give you the skinny on what we feel are the best video game deals available. We’re particularly fond of controllers (gee, I wonder why? ;), as well as excellent games that can be found for less than the price of a value meal at a burger joint.
Some of the best deals I’ve found so far include:
PlayStation 4 1TB Bundle w/God of War 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, & The Last of Us- This bundle is insane. Priced at $199 it comes with three of the best PS4 exclusives as well as a nice 1TB hard drive. You can find this deal at multiple spots, including Walmart.
DualShock 4 Controllers/ Xbox One Controllers at $39.99- While we know our Evil Controllers are the best (and make a great

After fifteen years of radio silence, Valve is launching a new Half-Life game, as Half-Life: Alyx is coming to PC VR platforms.
The game’s details are yet to be fully unveiled, as Valve will be making more details known at the Video Game Awards 2019 show. The title will be a full-length VR title, with the game serving as a prequel to Half-Life 2, which came out in 2004.
Alyx was a character in Half-Life 2, where she led the resistance as a former Black Mesa scientist. Her role in the new game isn’t known yet, but we can anticipate that it’ll be a first-person shooter style game.
Valve has been serious about working in VR, as they helped put out the HTC Vive headset as well as the new Valve Index. We’d think that the game would be exclusive to those headsets, but can’t confirm anything until we get those firm details. Still, owners of the Oculus Rift may not want to hold their breath on this one.
We’re definitely geeked to return to the world of Half-Life, which

Google’s Stadia Controller has launched along with the service, and we thought we’d share our thoughts on the device shortly after it went live.
We got our hands on the Stadia Controller earlier this week and found the design to be nice. It almost feels like the Xbox One Controller and the DualShock 4 had a baby when you first cradle it in your hands. It mixes the heft of the XB1 with the parallel analog sticks of the DS4.
I found the buttons to be a bit of a disappointment, as the flatter style buttons just don’t feel “as nice” as the two big boys. Battery life is decent, although nothing nearly as good as we see with the Switch Pro Controller or Xbox One with traditional batteries. I got eight hours on mine, which is maybe a shade longer than the DualShock 4.
The controller does work well with a phone mount, which is what you’ll need if you want to play Stadia on your smartphone. I used it with my Pixel and found that the experience was among the best I had with the

Sony’s PlayStation 5 console is going to be released within the next year, and a leak of the company’s DualShock 5 patent has come out, showing a beefier version of the controller that’s proved so popular this generation.
The controller sketch shows a bit of a bulkier shell design to the controller, with the included speaker and touchpad from this gen making the jump over. The button layout looks to be identical to the DualShock 4, including having the analog thumbsticks directly across from each other, rather than having them offset as we see in the Xbox controller.
A nice new feature will be USB-C charging, which will be built into the new port. Sony has already shared that the controller’s L2 and R2 buttons will have adaptive triggers, which will let developers change the resistance needed to trigger action. Haptic feedback will also be built into the controller, providing more precise rumble for players to feel.
The PlayStation 5 console is set to be released sometime

Google’s first foray into the video game industry has officially begun, as the company launched its Google Stadia service for players.
The Founder’s Edition of the service went live on November 19th, with early adopters shelling out $130 for a controller and Chromecast Ultra. The service ships with two months of the Ultra streaming service, which supplies games at 4K resolutions, and in HDR.
There is a slew of games available for play at launch, with Mortal Kombat 11, Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, and Borderlands 3 all launching with the service. Players will have to pay full price for games, save for Destiny 2, which is included with the initial purchase.
Thus far, the response seems to be mixed for users and reviewers of Stadia. Players with good internet speeds say the service works just fine, although others say they’re experiencing latency. The biggest concern for players who pre-ordered though is the fact that their Stadia launch bundles haven’t shipped on

Everyone seems to be surprised at the stunning success of the Nintendo Switch, as the console continues to sell like hotcakes even years after its initial release. At Evil Controllers we hear you, and we’re excited to let you know that we’re working on features for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
The Pro Controller is a premium device on its own, as it feels nice in your hands and is much better than the JoyCon controllers that attach to your console. Using the Pro Controller for the likes of Smash is a no-brainer, but we’ve been feeling like it could use a little more…
We can’t give a bunch of details on just what the features will be available at this time, but we can give you some insight into just how our controller can up your game. Manual inputs for games will be much easier with our controllers, as you can expect some of our pro gaming features to transfer over to the Switch Pro Controller model, such as improved tension, tactile buttons, and more.
