It seems a little strange to bring any new current generation console models to the market, especially with Nintendo releasing their next-gen Wii U later this year and rumors around big next-gen reveals at E3 2013. But Sony still has some left over cards to play for their PS3, and on September 25^th, Sony released the previously announced slimmer PS3 models.

So what do these models consist of and why would they be a better buy for veteran or casual PS3 gamers alike?

Well for most, the main attraction will be the slimmer, sleeker design, and footage has proved that the claims from Sony including a 20% decrease in size and 25% decrease in weight, are in fact true, and the PS3 has never looked so attractive.

Other than the main parameter change, there will be two mainstream models which will include a huge 250GB or 500GB HDD, which compared to the previous model's 160GB and 320GB hard drive space, we are seeing a huge increase.

Guess everyone wants to make a console these days. Well we don't know for sure if Valve is planning their very own console but recent news confirms that Valve will be getting into the whole hardware development side of the gaming world.

Rumors about Valve's intention to get into the hardware market had been flying around since March of this year. According to the rumors Valve was working along with Steam Box console. But as usual, Valve stepped in and dismissed these rumors as being false by commenting, "[the world is] a long way from Valve shipping out any sort of hardware."

The statement pretty much convinced everyone till a job listing appeared on Valve's official site for "an electronics engineer to work on platform hardware". Funny how most of the news we get nowadays are from job listings. The listing itself is pretty self explanatory and reveals quite a bit about Valve's intentions.

Info Naughty Dog's New PS3 Game

Naughty Dog revealed a bit more info recently about their new IP, The Last of Us. They mentioned that there would be several ways of going about the game in terms of what you chose to do and when. For example, you can choose to sneak past a group of baddies or eliminate them all while risking your resources.

Naughty Dog also verified that even though players will have such options throughout the game (which will give it a sandboxy feel), the game will not have multiple endings. As such, you can play the game however you like but everyone will get the same ending.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive Info

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is not exactly a great leap for the series. It is not meant to be Counter Strike 2 but a revamp of the old game. That being said, we should not sell this game short as any CS veteran would be more than happy with this game. The game will be available for PC, Xbox360, PS3 and PC players.

Valve has actually spent some time and tweaked some of the factors of the game, the most noticeable of which is the new and improved look of the game. The map layouts, loadout interface and the physics of the game have also gone through some changes.
