The developers of the new Gears of War: Judgment have taken some bold steps to change up the overall multiplayer experience of the game, and although the game has had some decent improvements, many players of the title couldn't express enough about the small amount of maps available on launch.
However, it has just been announced that a new map pack, called the Call to Arms Map Pack will be released on April 23, and will include three new maps and a brand new multiplayer mode.
The Call to Arms map pack is the second Gears of War Judgment map pack, which according to the press release, explores the 'darker side' of the Gears universe.
The three new maps include Terminal, a map that includes close quarter combat within Locust infested terminals as the COG protect what was once Halvo Bay, Blood Drive, a map that mixes things up by placing the battle within a sanctuary and a hospital, and Boneyard, a deep and chilling grave yard.
The new maps have also been set up

New Details on GoW Judgment
If you're interested in the next Gears of War Judgment game, you'll be happy to know that Microsoft Studios and Epic Games have compiled a big list of information on the game. From the looks of it, Judgment will be the most complete Gears game yet, thanks to a well-built storyline within the campaign, and the big host of multi-player features not previously seen in any Gears of War game.
Four multi-player modes have been detailed, overviewing the previously announced games as well as some currently unannounced ones. Details on the game modes are as follows:

GoW RTS
According to vgleaks, a new Gears of War title is being worked on other than the current Judgment game which rolls out before the events of Emergence day. The new game is told to be a real time strategy game, which sounds like an interesting concept: Halo Wars was developed for Bungie by Ensemble Studios and saw quite a large amount of success, so a Gears of War based RTS could work as well.
What ruins the potential for me though, however, is that the new Gears of War title is supposedly a Kinect only title. Previously we saw RARE take hold of all the casual-based IPs and turn them into Kinectrosities, but it seems now Microsoft has got hold of Epic and told them to make their own game completely Kinectified.

Hey there guys! God of War Game Director, Todd Papy, posted again on the Official Playstaion Blog just a couple of weeks back. This time around he emphasized the highly anticipated multiplayer mode of GOW Ascension which is going to be a first for series.
Knowing Santa Monica's track record it is really hard not to get excited. This excitement must come as a heavy burden to Santa Monica Studios who know well enough the high expectations fans have from them. If this multiplayer mode is even slightly sub-par, the backlash from fans could be horrible. I guess this is why I feel a bit reassured from Todd's description of the mode as "a multiplayer experience we are confident will be worthy of the title, God of War."
The main point that Todd wanted to get across was that they will be launching the beta for the multiplayer. As Todd explains, "I'm excited to announce today that we will be launching a global multiplayer beta in the near future, available exclusively first to PlayStation

Epic Games Sets the Record Straight on Gears of War: Exile
Back in early January 2011, news surfaced about Epic Games trademarking the title "Gears of War: Exile" on US Patent and Trademark office's website. Cliff Bleszinski (aka Cliffy B) of Epic Games revealed in an interview with Gamespot at PAX: East that the studio was working on a project named that, but that it has since been cancelled indefinitely.
"Let's just bury the hatchet now...Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."

Tim Sweeney States That Both PS3 and Xbox 360 Have Six-Eight Years of Life in Them
In an GamesIndustry interview with Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games (the company that gave us the Gears of War series) and the genius behind the first Unreal Engine states that unlike past consoles, the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have a longer lifetime than their past counterparts.
"The big difference between a console and a tablet is the console can consume 100 or 200 watts of power, while the tablet consumes one or two or three or four watts. That's really the limiting factor of performance
