While content updates for Halo 5 stopped some time ago, new balancing changes will be making their way to Halo 5 soon.
The new balancing changes will bring a huge overhaul to the different weapons players can use in Halo 5. Many players are speculating that the balance changes are a method for 343 Industries to test the waters with changes that they may bring to Halo 6 when it finally launches.
After 2 years of data to go through, those at 343 Industries that are still working on Halo 5 have decided on a new plan of action for the weapon mechanics in Halo 5: Guardians.
The 343 team warned that not everybody will like the changes, but they think the balancing is for the best.
"With a game and community as varied and nuanced as Halo 5, it's just not going to be possible to make everyone totally happy all of the time. Some folks may not like certain changes, while others may think some of these changes are great."
A total of twelve weapons will be getting

The radar has been an iconic part of the franchise ever since the Halo: Combat Evolved days. Over the years, the radar has had a number of changes but it has mostly remained the same.
The trouble with this is that much of the rest of the Halo gameplay experience has evolved. The radar is now a little outdated and it certainly needs some more love to fit better with the gameplay available in Halo 5: Guardians.
343 Industries has finally started working on changes to the radar, and the new tweaks will soon be ready to test in an upcoming multiplayer playlist.
An official update post on Halo Waypoint mentioned, 'Nearly 16 months of player feedback and game data has driven some interesting internal explorations to alter the way the Motion Sensor functions in Halo 5. On Thursday, March 9, we will kick off a public test of this new Motion Sensor to gather player feedback and metrics to help determine if this has a potential place in Halo 5 going forward, as well as potential

343 Industries may be cutting down on the amount of content being released for Halo 5: Guardians, but that doesn't mean new content isn't coming. In fact, a brand new content drop will be hitting in September. The release date for Halo 5's Anvil's Legacy DLC will be September 8 and it will see a number of new features, including new REQs, new weapons for Warzone and more.
Two brand new maps will also be coming to Halo 5 in Anvil's Legacy. The first of which will be a Warzone exclusive and the second will be a remake of Halo 4's Haven. The new Haven remake is called Mercy and it will be perfect for any close quarters game modes like Rumble Pit or team doubles.
Like previous updates, Anvil's Legacy will also be getting a number of new REQ items. Firstly, three new rare Warzone weapons have been added, including a powerful tactical magnum. There are a number of new common weapon drops added as well, along with some new armor items, new armor colors and a range of legendary weapon

After what felt like an unending schedule of free Halo 5 content, it's been announced that the monthly content drops for Halo 5: Guardians will now stop. Whilst this was the original plan announced by 343 Industries in the beginning, it's almost a shock to think that’s almost been a year since the game launched.
Since the release of Halo 5: Guardians, there have been eight big content drops, all of which added plenty of new cosmetics, new maps, new items and in some cases even new Warzone modes or AI enemies.
Now that the monthly content drops have stopped, 343 Industries want to make it clear that support for the game won't stop. In fact, some new content is still planned for the near future, even if it isn't going to be as substantial content releases. It's likely that the 343 team are now moving most of their resources to the next Halo title.
343 Industries recently mentioned that, "While you won't be seeing updates every month moving forward, nor updates the size

In a recent update, a glitch was found in Halo 5: Guardians that allowed players to have a whole world of new fun with custom weapons in Forge.
The glitch in question essentially allows players to assign weapon effect, damage and fire rate to another weapon model by using the REQ pads. Not only did this glitch apply to Forge games, but the glitch carried out into custom games too.
As an example, a player could place down a weapon pad and set it so that it spawns a REQ weapon. A player could then edit the item properties to change the weapon model. The end result allowed players to have SMGs that fired sniper bullets, plasma pistols that fired spartan lasers and all sorts of other things. Plenty of crazy combinations are possible with this glitch, and like mentioned before, this glitch does allow players to set up some incredibly fun custom games.
Perhaps the most exciting bit of news to come from this all is that Tom French has confirmed that the glitch will be staying

It may sound odd, but the 343 Industries team are adding a new enemy to Halo 5 Warzone and it's called the 'Grunt Goblin'
The new Grunt Goblin will appear in games as either a Legendary or a Mythic boss. It's essentially a large covenant mech that seems to be the enemy equivalent to a Mantis. It's operated by a grunt and has a very, very large needler and a big fist that looks menacingly capable of smashing through pretty much anything.
Character designer Steve Dyck left a few statements about the new vehicle. "There are two variants of the Grunt Goblin with different capabilities. "Essentially, the backstory of this battle suit is it was built by Grunts for Grunts in what the Grunt designers agreed was the perfect embodiment of agility and lethality."
Senior systems designer Chris Proctor chipped in to say that, "Unlike other vehicles, the Grunt Goblin cannot be hijacked or boarded and has a complete immunity to EMP effects." This means plasma pistols aren't going

Is this real life? Yep, it seems that even though 343 Industries confirmed that Halo 5: Guardians wasn't coming the PC, we just end up getting more and more Halo content on the PC. The latest piece of the Halo PC pie are a set of free Halo 5 Forge tools for Windows 10 owners.
Microsoft has named the piece of software as Forge - Halo 5: Guardians Edition and it will be coming to Windows 10 soon. So far we're not sure whether the tools have been built from the ground up for support on the PC or whether they've mostly been ported for use on the PC but there will be a few changes regardless. Here are some of the changes posted by Microsoft on an Xbox news post.
+ Keyboard & Mouse Support - For the first time ever, Forgers will have the option of using a keyboard & mouse allowing for more precision control than ever before.
+ Increased Resolution - Support for multiple resolutions including 4k.
+ Test and Play with Friends - Enlist the help of Friends to help

Recently the HCS Pro League Invitational took place and two of the top Halo teams made it into the grand finals. Only one team could take a spot for the HCS Pro League, whilst the other team would be sent back home.
Read on to find out how the final match for the Pro League Invitational went ahead between Evil Geniuses and Team EnVyUs below. Keep in mind that this article is filled with spoilers so if you'd like to watch the match yourself, you can do so on the Halo Twitch channel under the past broadcasts section.
Things started promisingly on Team EnVyUs' side for the first game as they took a 3-0 victory against Evil Geniuses on Coliseum. Game mode was Capture the Flag and EnVyUs completely shut down their opponent's hopes at getting a single flag.
For all those watching for the action at home, Evil Geniuses put the ball in our court by taking the second game, albeit in a fairly close fashion. Lunchbox managed to pull out a decent 18-7 K/D in their second game, which

After pro player Naded's great performance at the Halo World Championship, he has managed to grab himself a deal with none other than OpTiC Gaming. Naded will now join the new OpTiC Halo 5 crew as the third currently announced member of the newly formed lineup.
We now have just one more player to be announced before we have a completely fresh OpTiC Halo lineup that may actually stand a great chance at competing and performing well at a high level again.
Not only is Naded a good choice for building a well-performing Halo team for Halo 5: Guardians and potential future releases, but he also has a lot of great brand value. Naded has been considered to be one of the top Halo streamers out there and he has pulled in quite a lot of viewership, especially compared to other streamers within the Halo community.
If you've been following the OpTiC Halo team then you'll know that the other two currently confirmed members for the team are Flamesword and Maniac. Flamesword has been

Finally Halo 5: Guardians is getting it's own version of the Infection game mode that has been popular in Halo since Halo 3. A custom gametype called Zombie which gained a large following during the Halo 2 days is where the Infection game mode was truly born however.
In Infection, the game starts with the majority of players on the 'human' side. A small selection of players, usually just one or two, are considered 'infected' and they must hunt down the human players. If an infected player kills a human, the human will then respawn as an infected. In nearly all cases, all players are usually infected before the time runs out.
The infected players are equipped with fast movement and a glowing green energy sword, whilst by default the human players will have the shotgun and the magnum at their disposal.
343 Industries has slowly been adding new game types to Halo 5: Guardians since it's release and the latest Infection game mode will be added alongside the Ghosts of Meridian
