The Medal of Honor series is being brought back to the video game industry, as EA subsidiary Respawn announced an upcoming VR game based on the property.
The game will be coming exclusively to the Oculus platform in 2020 and was shown at Oculus Connect 6 on September 25th. The title will be called Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond and will be focused on World War II, delivering a first-person perspective as you battle Nazis in Occupied Europe.
Above and Beyond is being designed by Peter Hirschmann, who produced the original 1999 game that came to the PlayStation. The game was a hit, featuring a story by filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and harkened back to war films of the period such as Saving Private Ryan.
This game will have an educational aspect to it, as there will be interviews held with veterans of the war, giving insight into the different experiences that players will partake in. In addition to gameplay, there will also be 360 video footage showing set pieces, and

Warfighter: Manhunt Map Pack
If you pre-ordered the limited edition of MOH: Warfighter, then you will already have access to the new Manhunt map pack, but if you purchased the standard edition, the new map pack will cost $9.99.
Manhunt, or the Thirty Dark Days DLC, lets players experience the tension soldiers had in the hunt for Bin Laden, focusing on two maps where Bin Laden had previously visited. Darra Gun Market and Chitral Compound are the two new maps located in Pakistan, and will feature dusty back alleys and worn-down buildings. Although you won't actually find Bin Laden, the new maps give the players the image of a pursuit through the two areas as the

EA has made their marketing strategy clear. They want to beat the reigning champ, Call of Duty, or at least take a chunk out of its market share. Every first person shooter wants to be CoD and who can blame them? The money CoD rakes in every year is unbelievable.
Interestingly enough, this time EA is sticking to The Danger Close team making Medal of Honor Warfighter as grounded and real as possible in hope that it would attract the gamers. They believe that gamers who are looking for the authentic feel of a modern battlefield might prefer Warfighter over Black Ops 2. They have based this assumption on the fact that Treyarch has taken a very futuristic approach with BO2 which might not be well received by gamers. Some diehard CoD fans have actually voiced out their concerns regarding this in forums and blogs all over the internet.
If true, this could very well be MoH's year. It is obvious that MoH may surpasses BO2 thanks to its amazing Frostbite 2 engine. MoH is supposed to

Warfighter to Compete with Black Ops 2
It seems every year now we gamers get to witness a clash between FPS superstars. Last year it was Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3 and this year it is Black Ops 2 vs Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Both these games are direct sequels to their respective predecessors and both of them show great promise.
Since 2003 Call of Duty has been the reigning champ with little or no competition. Even though there are a lot of gamers annoyed by the COD franchise now because of the similar gameplay and old engine, they still continue to break sales records every year. It's no wonder the

Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Medal of Honor is posing some serious competition against Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 this year. The Frostbite 2 engine makes that game stand out from previous shooters. It looks absolutely gorgeous and seems Danger Close are really trying to achieve new heights with this game.
Check out the campaign gameplay demo:

Ken Levine Prefers to Show a Game Rather Than Talk about It.
According to sources from Joystiq, Bioshock Creator Ken Levine was at the Game Developers Conference and was asked about Bioshock on the Playstation Vita. He stated that it wouldn't be Bioshock Infinite being ported to the Vita and that he and his team was working on it.
He continued on that a lot of people are behind the development of the game and that he would be happy to talk about it, but he would rather wait until the game is ready to show. He said this in response to the millions of tweets and messages he has been getting from many sources
