It looks like Sony is finally catching up to us at Evil Controllers, as the company is launching a new adapter for their DualShock 4 controller that gives the device rear paddles.
The new device is called the Back Button Attachment and will feature a puck style device that plugs into the underside of the DualShock 4, putting backpedals on the back. The puck will have an OLED screen attached to it, which will allow users to program what button they want to attach to the paddles. This will give players the chance to have faster response times for firing, accelerating, or performing any type of action they want in-games.
The device appears to be an option for those that want to add some functionality to the DS4 without taking the big leap into controller mods. Of course, we’re a bit biased, but we prefer our Shift Controllers, which allow for much more customization, including hairpin triggers, larger thumbsticks, and better overall

In an interesting move to stand out from the crowd, Xbox has announced a bright and colorful red Xbox One controller.
The new all-red controller is expected to hit the online Xbox store from January 11. By all-red, we really mean it by the way. Everything from the accents on the buttons to the chassis and bumper buttons is red. The only hint of non-red is seen on the Xbox symbol, which remains white.
The new controller will be on sale for $64.99, and GameStop will also stock it, both online and in-store.
This isn't the first time Xbox has attempted to offer their customers new personalization options. In the past, they released the Xbox Design Lab, which allowed players to pick out their own colors for each part of an Xbox One controller.
Despite the selection of colors, the Xbox One Design Lab still can't trump our own Custom Controller Creator - we add a greater range of colors for selection, and also have a variety of decals and fancier graphics available

Exciting news for OG Call of Duty fans. Gfinity has announced a $25,000 Modern Warfare Remastered invitational event.
The new tournament has been sponsored by HP Omen, which is a gaming laptop brand. As a result, the tournament will be played on PCs. Teams will have the option to use controllers or a mouse and keyboard. This may be a surprise to some, especially considering the accuracy gap between traditional controllers and a mouse.
The teams to take place in the event have yet to be announced, but we expect four picks from some of the best teams in the world. Whilst a $25,000 prize pool isn't massive, this being the first major cash tournament for Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, makes it an important one to attend.
Invitational events will feature a number of teams that the event organizers have invited themselves. These events are often designed to gauge viewer interest, so the highest skilled teams are often invited to ensure great gameplay is showcased.

The first big Battlefield 1 update will be coming soon and as a result, all live servers will be temporarily taken offline whilst the patch is applied.
EA has nicknamed the upcoming patch as the fall update and it will come with a number of useful changes. EA and DICE have both remained quite open about the future features they plan to release to Battlefield 1, but so far we're not sure which of the planned features will make it into the fall update. We may see the introduction of hardcore and fog of war modes, and we may also see a number of overall optimizations and gameplay improvements.
Whilst the servers will be going down for a short time, DICE has mentioned that the servers shouldn't be down for long - they've even opted to pick less busy hours to keep the outage complaints at a minimum. The outage, if all goes to plan, should last for just an hour. The outage times may differ depending on which platform you're using, but as a general guide, take a look at the listed

A new patch for Rainbow Six Siege has hit the online servers for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One and it will be making a number of pretty significant changes to the game. The new patch is numbered 1.2 and it is the second major patch since the release of Rainbow Six Siege.
Besides a variety of different bug fixes, some improvements have been made to the servers to ensure that hit detection is improved and lag is reduced. Here is a description from Ubisoft about the server improvements.
"With the goal of improving positioning and shooting replication, we had deployed a first update on PC in which the player position update rate is set to 60 times per second (vs. the previous 30). This change however has been done in an intermittent fashion and in certain regions only, as we were testing various configurations. We are now satisfied with its state so we are now deploying this update to all PC users. As soon as this feature has been validated with this more massive test on PC, we will

NIS America has sent out a new press release revealing the new battle system that will be coming to Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.
In Disgaea, there will be three different systems that have been added to the game. Below, we've gone into detail about the Disgaea 5 battle systems.
Alliance Attacks: Building on the idea of Team Attacks, the main characters of Disgaea 5 have access to a new attack system called Alliance Attacks which allows them to team up with a specific teammate to deal massive damage!
Revenge Mode: Another new addition to the battle mechanics of the Disgaea series, the Revenge Mode, allows you to power up your characters when their allies take damage or are defeated. Revenge Mode also unlocks powerful new abilities for your characters called Overloads.

Whether you are looking forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 or not, you can't deny that Activision has done a great job, alongside some of it's developers, to release a number of classic Call of Duty games in the past.
Some players may have the fondest of memories in Black Ops 1, whilst others remember spending their days on Modern Warfare 2. Some veterans out there may even tell you that their fondest memories were from Call of Duty 4.
Either way, there is a lot of nostalgia hiding in many of the older Call of Duty titles, and Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg understands that this is a great reason for remastered versions to be created.
Hirshberg mentioned that, "If done well, remasters can be great."
"You talk about nostalgia, and people have such connection to the games they love from the last cycle. They want to see what it would look like if someone did it right for this cycle."
Hirshberg even went on to say that a remastered collection for Call of

Battlefield 4 has already had a season pass but DICE aren't quite done with developing content for the game just yet. However, instead of charging players extra on top of all the other additional DLC costs already tied onto Battlefield 4, DICE has made the noble choice to release all of the future DLC content for free.
Whilst previous DLC will still cost players the same it does today, any new content created by DICE and released for Battlefield 4 from this day forwards will be absolutely free to all players.
So far there are a lot of details that haven't been shared by DICE, but we do know that they are working on some new maps, including night time maps. The night maps should be variants of previously released maps. So far we already know that Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, and Golmud Railway will be receiving nighttime variants. A new community-made map is also in the works and should be released for free in the not too distant future.
A new patch is planned for this

It has now been confirmed that the Call of Duty Havoc DLC, the first upcoming downloadable content pack for Advanced Warfare will be released on the 29th of this month. The new DLC pack will include a variety of new maps, as well as a few new additions, including a game mode brand new to Advanced Warfare.
The four maps have been named as Sideshow, Urban, Core and Drift. Sideshow looks to be shanty town based within a cargo ship, whilst Urban is a city area packed with buildings. Core takes place in a sandy drilling station and Drift is in a small snow town.
As well as the new maps, the Havoc DLC pack includes two new weapons, the AE4 Widowmaker, and a direct variation of the Widowmaker. Season pass holders were given the gun early, but those who buy the DLC without the season pass will still be able to pick up the gun when the DLC launches at the end of January.
The last piece of content, and perhaps most exciting in the Havoc DLC is the new exo zombies mode. It's expected

A brand new set of official gameplay videos for Advanced Warfare have leaked, each showing different elements of the multiplayer gameplay associated with the game. The first video shows off a brand new remote turret score streak reward. Players will be able to place down the turret, find a quiet place to hide, and then activate the turret to control it remotely.
In the second video, a new medal awarded in multiplayer is shown - the video shows a player getting into a large battlesuit and then killing a player to be rewarded with the "terminated" medal.
The third video also shows off a new medal in Advanced Warfare. This medal, named Death From Above, will reward players who manage to use their jumpsuit to leap above somebody's head and take them down with a knife kill whilst airborne.
The final video shows off the new remote turret score streak reward again - however this time it focuses on the turret weapons which can be ripped off of the turret and used on foot.
