Black Ops maintenance

Recently Treyarch has informed PlayStation players that they may have trouble connecting to, and staying in a game due to maintenance on the PlayStation network. It was nice for Treyarch to give notice to players, and although Treyarch gave little information on the reason for the maintenance, they wanted players to be patient and understanding of the situation.

The PlayStation network maintenance lasted most of the day, and although most PlayStation owners should be able to access most of the features, players may have difficulty getting into online play on some titles.

Call of Duty Reigns Supreme

Halo 4 may have been released one week before Black Ops 2 but it remained in second place this Black Friday week in the amount of players online according to Major Nelson.

In that same top five bracket was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in fourth place trailing behind Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

The original Call of Duty: Black Ops sits at sixth place while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reigns at ninth place.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta Launched

All you FPS fans out there are getting extra lucky with this year's lineup; with Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 set for release over the upcoming months we've already got hours of gameplay available at our hands. Sony is literally horrible at keeping new hardware news secret. Months before its official release there were rumors going around that Sony was coming up with a new "super slim" version of the old PS3. By old PS3 I mean the very first generation, you know the ones that weighed a ton.

Sony is known to release slimmer version of their consoles as they did for the PS2 so everyone expected a PS3 Slim somewhere down the pipeline. However, I for one did not expect a slimmer version of the PS3 Slim. The rumors mentioned the newer model might be a bit cheaper and also arrive somewhere around TGS 2012.

Thanks to Sony's official reveal, once again we see that rumors in the video game industry are much more reliable than those in any other industry. The Playstation 3 Super Slim was revealed on the 17^th of September on TGS and the details of the new model are as follows.
