A brand new character for Injustice 2 has finally made its way into the game. The new character is called Starfire and is based on the DC character of the same name.
Starfire is a character from the Teen Titans universe, so it's interesting to see her make her way into a brutal 3D fighting game.
In Injustice 2, Starfire is grown up and ready to beat any opponents that challenge her.
Starfire is designed to be a character suitable for beginner players. Her move set is very simple when compared to other Injustice 2 characters, which should make it easier for newer players to master her.
Starfire will be available for free to anybody that owns the Injustice 2 Deluxe or Ultimate editions. Alternatively, if you own Fighter Pack 1, you'll also have access to Starfire. If you have neither of the things above, you'll have to purchase Starfire separately.
There are a number of shaders available for Starfire, including one that makes her look like her sister, Blackfire.

A brand new update for Injustice 2 has landed and it brings a new Superman skin into the game.
The new Superman skin is called the Bizarro Superman and it is a premier skin.
The trademark feature of the Bizarro Superman skin is the reversed 'S' on his chest. The character also looks zombified in many ways and has bright blue laser eyes. You can see an example of the skin's appearance in the image above.
Some of the moves on the new Bizarro Superman skin have changed when compared to the standard Superman. For example, one move will now burn opponents instead of freezing them. His laser beam attack now produces icy, cold damage instead of red, hot solar damage.
The Super ability of the Bizarro Superman skin remains the same as the standard Superman, but there are a number of other small changes to some other skills that are available to both Superman and Bizarro Superman.
The Bizarro Superman also has new voice lines. The lines include things like "You

If you try to pair fighting games, Tekken and Street Fighter go quite well together, and this has lead to crossovers in the past. For Mortal Kombat, the best pairing would definitely have to be Killer Instinct. Both games offer a slightly more brutal approach to fighting, and according to Ed Boon, the idea of a Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat crossover would be a good idea.
On Twitter, Ed Boon mentioned 'I loves me some KI but a crossover would have to be Xbox exclusive.'
Funnily enough, Phil Spencer later tweeted in reply to state that he 'loves' the idea too. Well, right there we have the two men that could make a real crossover happen, and they both agree on the idea.
Whether or not this was a little marketing ploy by both Netherrealm and Xbox is hard to say, but we wouldn't be surprised if a Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat crossover title was now in the works. Because Killer Instinct is Xbox exclusive, the crossover would also have to be Xbox exclusive, which

Previously it was announced that a Mortal Kombat XL tournament will take place at EVO 2016, but before today the prize pool sat at $60,000. Today, Netherrealm and Warner Bros. have teamed up to offer an additional $50,000 for the prize pool.
Going forward, the EVO 2016 Mortal Kombat XL tournament will now have a $110,000 total prize pool. Neither Netherrealm, EVO or Warner Bros. have announced exactly how the tournament winnings will be split, but the first place winner is definitely going to go home with a considerable chunk of money.
It wasn't long ago that the ESL Pro League Finals paid out big time to SonicFox for taking the winning spot. We can't wait to see how big Mortal Kombat will grow with thanks to the added financial support of the developer and the publisher.
The fighting game community has been lagging behind MOBAs and FPS title when it comes to eSports winnings, but with hundreds of thousands going to Mortal Kombat X alone in 2016 so far, it's clear to

Season 3 for the Mortal Kombat X Pro League has now been announced and it will feature 16 players from across the world. This time round, players from Latin America will get their first chance to qualify for the top 16 spots, whilst other regions will include CIS, Europe and North America.
In the previous two seasons, SonicFox managed to take the trophies but this time there is even more on the line and more chances for up and coming talent to get in on the action. After the qualifiers, the 16 man tournament will be held in Burbank, California and players will be fighting for a $200,000 first place prize, twice that of the previous season. Altogether, $500,000 has been put on the line in season 3 and the other $300,000 will be awarded to runner up players.
Absolutely anybody can sign up for the Challenger Cup and by doing so they'll be able to get the chance to fight their way into the qualifiers. ESL has also confirmed that a later season will be coming for Mortal Kombat

A brand new season pass has been announced for Mortal Kombat X and it will be available throughout 2016. The new season pass has been dubbed the Kombat Pack 2, and as the name suggests, it will add new characters to the current character roster, just like the previous Kombat Pack DLC.
Just like the previous Kombat Pack DLC, there will be two characters from previous Mortal Kombat games and two characters from outside of the Mortal Kombat universe. The first announced character will be the Xenomorph from Aliens. We've already got the Predator so I can't wait to see these two battling it out in Mortal Kombat X next year. The second guest character in the Kombat Pack 2 DLC will be Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and yes, he does have a chainsaw.
The first of the returning Mortal Kombat characters will be Bo Rai Cho who uses a fairly plain and simple drunken fist master fighting style. The final character is a little more interesting. The new character isn't returning,

A brand new patch has been released for Mortal Kombat X and it brings a number of different tweaks to a variety of different characters in the game. The latest patch is already available on the PlayStation 4 but it's not quite ready for either the Xbox One or the PC.
Most of the changes are quite small, but you may notice small tweaks here and there whilst playing. Nearly all of the changes fall into one of two categories - bug fixes or game balancing.
Below, we have a list of some of the more important character tweaks made.
+ D'Vorah (Venomous) - Adjusted the Poison Stack algorithm to prevent the top end from getting so high
+ Ermac (Spectral) - Fixed a bug in which he could get stuck in flight controls
+ Goro - Fixed a bug which was preventing Krush from having its landing location chosen
+ Goro - Slightly increased the input window to meterburn PunchWalk on hit
+ Jacqui (Full Auto) - Decreased the block advantage on Up Rocket by 5 and

For the most part Mortal Kombat X has been released without too many problems but it seems nowadays you can't have a game release without some kind of bugs or issues. Fortunately, NetherRealm Studios has been working round the clock to ensure everything is as smooth as possible.
Recently, the 1.02 patch was applied to Mortal Kombat for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 and it brings a number of changes and bug fixes to the game.
Perhaps the biggest noticeable changes to Mortal Kombat X in 1.02 are some tweaks to general gameplay and certain character’s move sets. Below the major game changes have been listed.
General - Throws (regular or command grabs) will no longer sometimes connect on a grounded reacting opponent off a counter hit
Shinnok (Impostor) - He can now control the location of a stolen Goro Stomp.
Subzero (Grandmaster) - Combos on a grounded opponent frozen by the Ice Klone will now scale properly.
Takeda (Ronin) - Added a new move "Quick Kall"
