Nintendo has released an update to their Mario Maker 2 game, letting players get in on the action as legendary RPG hero Link.
The update brings Link as well as his iconic sword to the action, with players able to pull off butt stomps, use bombs, and even shoot enemies with your bow and arrow. The update also brings new enemies, P-blocks, frozen coins, and the dash block. A fully fleshed out option to use the Super Mario World game style is also included, letting your levels look like they belong on the Switch or Wii U versions of the platforming game.
One feature that didn’t get a lot of love in the press but will likely be popular is the addition of a speedrunning mode, which will let players get in on the crazy Kaizo style levels that are created, letting players see multiple instances of their characters that failed the level. For those unaware, Kaizo levels are developed to create a bunch of ways for players to die, and are extremely difficult to complete.

After a few days lingering around a black hole, Epic Games’ hit battle royale shooter Fortnite has launched its Chapter 2 game, bringing with it a bunch of new features.
The game held an event last weekend where a rocket broke the dome overseeing the island where players duke it out, with the world being crashed down on and eventually sucked into a black hole. Players were stuck with that screen for the next few days, wondering just what would happen.
It turns out that Chapter 2 is what happened, giving players a new map as well as some intriguing features.
Among these features is an area on the map named Slurpy Swamp, which generates shields for players who’re standing in it. The game also lets players upgrade weapons, letting you build workbenches to upgrade the lethality of your gun. Hiding from foes is also enhanced, letting you stake out in dumpsters and haystacks.
If hiding isn’t your thing, you can fish

To help support Fortnite content creators of all sizes, Epic Games has launched a new program called Support-A-Creator.
From now until December 31, you can choose to input the name of any supported creator when you spend V-Bucks in-game.
Doing so will help the creator to get paid a small sum of money based on how much V-Bucks you spend. Creators will be rewarded money regardless of whether you paid for the V-Bucks or if you earned it through the Battle Pass.
Everybody from Ninja to small streamers on YouTube and Twitch are eligible to sign up to the Support-A-Creator program.
As of writing, there are already 4,000 creators on the program and Epic Games are being rather lenient with new sign ups. If you are a Fortnite content creator with a small audience and you are struggling to bring in revenue, you may want to visit the Fortnite creators page to sign up.
You can then ask your audience to input your name when they spend V-Bucks and you will be rewarded.

Gears of War 4 is set to receive a rather hefty patch that'll include a range of improvements aimed towards Xbox One X users. These improvements are all changes to the graphical appearance and overall frame performance of the game.
The update is completely free, but it won't offer any benefits for those not using the Xbox One X.
To begin with, the new Xbox One X improvements for Gears of War 4 will allow players to play the game in true 4K (3840 x 2160). Players will have the option to choose between different visual modes, but even 1080P is said to have a significant graphics boost.
There will also be two different rendering modes players can choose from. Players can either go into Performance mode or Visuals mode. On Performance mode, the game will be capped at 1080P resolution, but frame rate will be higher and will reach 60 frames per second.
With the Visuals mode, players can choose to use 4K resolution and 30FPS. These changes will only be apparent in Campaign

A brand new Destiny 2 patch has hit both Xbox One and PS4. This patch brings a number of bug fixes, gameplay balancing changes, and also introduces a new legendary weapon via the recent factions feature.
Let's start with the juicy stuff first, shall we? Patch 1.0.3.1 introduces a brand new legendary weapon that is now available as a reward for those that took part in the faction gameplay last week.
The Faction Rallies event allowed players to join one of three factions to earn points for that faction and earn rewards. It was explained that the faction with the most points at the end of the week was to be given access to a legendary weapon related to that faction.
Now that the event is over, the winning faction, Dead Orbit, has their scout rifle available in-game. All players can purchase the scout rifle for 50,000 glimmers. However, those in the Dead Orbit faction will be able to pick it up for just 1,000.
The new Destiny 2 patch also brings a number of new bug

A brand new system update for the PlayStation 4 has been released. PS4 owners can download and install the new 5.0 system update now.
While moving to 5.0 sounds like quite a big jump, there aren't any significant changes in this latest system update. Unlike previous big OS updates for the PS4, the 5.0 system update puts a focus on backend fixes.
The visual changes are very minor, but we'll discuss what has changed below.
The biggest feature of the PS4 5.0 system update is the support for Twitch streaming up to 1080p resolution for those with a PS4 Pro. If you own a PS4 Pro, you'll be able to stream your game directly to Twitch at 60 frames per second and in 1080p resolution. You are now able to follow users in PS4's What's New feed. Previously, it was only possible to follow verified users from this feed.
A couple of changes have also been made to the notifications system on the PS4 5.0 system update. Starting in 5.0, PS4 owners can now prevent notification pop-ups

A brand new patch for LawBreakers has recently gone live on both the PS4 and the PC version of the game. For the most part, the patch has gone ahead smoothly, although there has been a temporary issue with weapon stickers that the developers are currently working to get solved.
In the new patch, a nighttime version of the Promenade map has been added. Role limits have now been set to 2, and Kick decals can now be sprayed by players across the game environment.
A number of balancing changes have been made to different game modes, too. For example, the Blitzball mode has been made more challenging. The Blitzball shield radius has been increased from 850 to 1000.
The Overcharge mode has had similar changes - the radius for reducing the Battery's shield has increased from 750 to 850, and the contest radius for the Battery has increased to 1000. The contest area has also changed to a sphere as opposed to a cylinder, which should make it easier for players to hold the spot

The new Rainbow Six Siege Operation Blood Orchid expansion is finally out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
After a long wait, the latest expansion, which adds three new operators, a new map, and a large number of gameplay fixes and balancing changes, has gone live.
Ubisoft released a new trailer for the operation. During the trailer, the new map is showcased, alongside the three new operators.
As mentioned previously, the new map for Operation Blood Orchid is Theme Park. It's a spooky-themed nighttime map that's based on an abandoned theme park. The trailer also shows off Ying and Lesion, the two new operators from Hong Kong. The trailer ends by giving a sneak peek at the third operator, Ela.
Ela is a Polish operator that was originally planned for a now-axed Polish themed operation.
While the trailer does show the three new operators in action, it doesn't do much to showcase their new abilities. We've provided a quick overview of the new operators

A brand new update for Friday The 13th has now been released to the masses. The update is available for download on all platforms.
The new update for Friday The 13th mostly brings a number of bug fixes and gameplay balancing. Most importantly, however, is the removal of friendly fire in most instances. Going forward, it will now be very hard to take out your teammates. These changes have been made to help cut down on griefing.
According to the development team, the team-killing mechanic was getting abused - the community reported 'rampant abuse' of the feature.
The only way players can kill their teammates after this latest update is if they run them over. This means any weapons that counselors pickup cannot be used on their teammates.
Interestingly, this new update also changes the layout of most of the maps in Friday The 13th. Maps have been made smaller to help improve the flow of gameplay and to keep things as action-packed and tense as possible.
