Various game journalists and internet media influencers have gotten their hands on the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, and thus far it seems like they’re quite impressed with the tech.
We wouldn’t call the Elite Series 2 the best Xbox Controller (we’re a bit biased as we love our products that improve upon the console manufacturer's official offerings), but it does appear to be a quality product. Microsoft has improved on the first Elite, bringing more options for players to customize their experience. The build quality is top-notch for a major game company, and the device ships with a case, multiple pads, a charging dock, and is USB-C compatible.
Reviewers seem to feel that the build quality of the controller is high, with the device feeling nice in the player’s hands. The customizable options on the controller also have been well-received as the different stick sizes and tension can be adjusted. We’re going to be offering day-one mods on the Elite Series 2, giving you even

The Coalition’s newest crack at the Gears of War franchise has officially launched, as Gears 5 is available for play now… and the first reviews are highly positive for the shooter.
The game launched at 9 pm EDT on Thursday and is available for download on Xbox and Windows. Reviewers and players alike have given glowing reviews of Gears 5, with the visuals, gameplay, and sheer size of the maps. Of course, the story mode and multiplayer modes are also getting love from those who’ve played the game. As of press time, Gears 5 holds an 86 at Metacritic from critics, with an 8.9 rating from players.
Gears 5 is following up the mixed Gears of War 4, which introduced Kait Diaz. The new game continues that storyline, as Kait looks to battle the Locust hordes with JD Fenix and Delmont Walker.
To go along with the launch, an exclusive Gears 5 controller has been launched, and the design is simply stunning. An exclusive Xbox One X console has also been launched with the game’s

If previous entries are any indication, a Gears 5 controller could be coming with the game’s launch on September 10th, 2019.
We’re eagerly anticipating a new controller, as we’ve been developing Gears of War controllers since the release of Gears of War 3, and we’ve been jacked about the different designs that the team at Microsoft has come up with over the years. Even though nothing has been officially announced yet, you can just about guarantee that there’ll be new hardware launching alongside the newest game.
If you’ve been sleeping through the last release, we’ve been hard at work making the perfect Gears of Wars controllers over the past few years. Our current Xbox One Master Mod has several mods that are ideal as Gears of War mods include: Rapid Fire, Active Reload, Custom Active Reload, Auto Chainsaw, and Auto Mark. While not approved for eSports events, they give you the edge you need at the time you need it when you play online. Needless to say, we’re going to be

Everybody, let out a collective, “Yessss!”, as Gears 5 developers have confirmed that the upcoming Xbox One/PC shooter will not have any season pass or Gear Packs to try and separate you from your hard-earned money.
The decision is very consumer-friendly, as users are growing increasingly frustrated by not having complete games, despite paying full price for them. The game will instead focus on offering up earnable unlockables, with various grinds and milestones. This is a big shift from Gears of War 4, which had a hefty $50 season pass and charged upwards of $5 for Gear Packs.
The Coalition issued a statement on the matter, which read in part: “We’ve committed to delivering more earnable content than ever before through an extensive new system called Tour of Duty.”
Tour of Duty will have various seasons, ala Fortnite, and will spell out what is required of players to earn each extra piece of content.
Gears 5 follows up on the story from Gears

Microsoft’s Elite Series 2 Controller was unveiled at the company’s E3 press conference, and users have begun getting their hands on the delicious (and pricey) piece of tech. Impressions of the controller have been overwhelmingly positive for the controller, as it brings in some great new features.
Tech journalists have been getting some hands-on time with the Series 2, and claim that the device is lighter than the original. Microsoft is claiming 40 hours of battery life on a single charge, and the group has worked in a USB-C port for charging the controller. This, along with Bluetooth compatibility has users gushing.
The Series 2 has four paddles on the back, just like our SHIFT controller, which is a nice touch. The controller does compare favorably to the C40 TR though, as you get 4 paddles with the Elite 2, but only 2 on the Astro C40 TR. One downside to the Series 2 is that you cannot remap your paddles on the fly as you can on the Evil SHIFT.

Load your bullets, and sharpen your chainsaw, as your lancer is going to be getting a lot of work when Gears of War 5 launches on September 10th.
Gear 5’s release date was revealed by Microsoft at their E3 press briefing, showing protagonist Kait Diaz’s role in the game as she, JD Fenix, Delmont Walker, and Marcus Fenix all worth together to reign holy hell on locust scum. The game was originally revealed last year and is slated to be launched this fall.
The single player campaign is included, as is online co-op and local split-screen play, and there’ll also be a robust online mode. It’s likely that eSports will be taken into consideration with Gears 5, as players using the cover-based mechanics will be learning the ins-and-outs quickly. We’re geeked to see how the competitive side of things play out with Gears of War 5, and you can bet we’re already planning out the maps on our custom controllers to take advantage of the action.
