10 Things to Look Forward In GTA 6

It looks like Grand Theft Auto 6 is just around the corner, with reports suggesting that it could release in the fall of 2025. Gamers had to wait to play the next installment of the GTA franchise for slightly over a decade and they’re patiently waiting for it to be available on their favorite consoles. GTA 5 was a smash hit upon release with an incredible story mode and an online mode that still has a massive player base.

With the new GTA only a few months away, it will be interesting to see the changes and addition Rockstar makes to this fan favorite game. People have incredibly high expectations from this game and rightfully so. When you wait over a decade for your favorite game to come out, it better exceed expectations. Anyway, here’s a list of things to look forward to in GTA 6.

Faster Load Times

The PS5 and Xbox Series S and X seem like the perfect consoles to be able to handle the heavy requirements of GTA 6. It’s a big reason why Rockstar waited to release this game now, instead of dropping it during the last gen as the game would have felt pretty clunky and unresponsive like Cyberpunk 2077. You can also expect the load times to be faster than ever, thanks to the SSDs present in current gen consoles.

More Customization Options

GTA 5 already gave players plenty of options to customize their characters, cars and weapons, so it would be fair to expect more from the franchise’s latest installments. Like most modern games, you may need to splash the cash for some of the in-game content. Otherwise, you always have the option to grind the side missions to customize stuff according to your liking.

Next Level Graphics

If you have seen the GTA 6 trailer, you will be well aware of what to expect from this game graphically. The last installment of this franchise looked fantastic and still holds up today, so you can expect better almost lifelike graphics with a better frame rate. Some industry insiders feel that this game may perform best on PCs and the recently released PS5 Pro but that still remains to be seen.

New and Improved Driving Mechanics

Driving is a big part of the Grand Theft Auto franchise and players get to drive a wide range of cars. People who have followed this franchise from the beginning have noticed a steady and clear improvement in its driving mechanics, which means that things are likely to be even better this time around.

Overhauled Combat System

One of the things that has slightly held this franchise back is its outdated combat system. Sure, shooting and melee combat feels nice but it doesn’t feel challenging enough. Hopefully, the game’s developers to inspiration from better combat systems in other games and came up with something of their own to overhaul the combat system.

Unique NPCs

NPCs in the Grand Theft Auto world have always stood out because of their unique characters and funny quips. Now that this game is coming out on the latest hardware, there could be even more NPC variety this time, providing an immersive experience.

Massive Open World

GTA is known for its vast open world and the upcoming game will give you plenty of new locations to explore in your car or by foot. The game will take place in a fictional version of Miami, where you will find tons of familiar buildings and places that you might have seen in real life.

Interesting Protagonists

There is very little detail about GTA 6’s protagonists but people have speculated that they will be heavily inspired from American bandits Bonny and Clyde.

New Radio Stations

Radio stations in the GTA world are a source of great delight. Like the previous installments of this franchise, Grand Theft Auto will let you switch between a variety of radio stations playing different genres of music, satirical talk shows and more.

Changes to Online Mode

Gamers expect GTA 6’s online mode to be bigger, better and even more diverse than what they are used to with GTA 5. With Rockstar’s track record of listening to their fan base and taking time to create the best possible product, you should expect nothing less.
