A Little Helps a Lot


Everyday my email gets spammed with tons of junk mail, but the most pile up junk mail I receive is from daily deal sites. (And yes this is my own fault for originally signing up, but sometimes they have some great deals!) The other day I was contacted by the Philanthoper.com. And their websiteintriguedme. The Philanthoper.com has a similar concept to the daily deal sites, but instead of attempting to sell you meaningless products, they instead promote a different 501(c)3 nonprofit every day. And if you like the nonprofit they are promoting you are able to donate money. Most internet donation sites offer online donations but with a minimum donation of $5 or $10. The Philanthroper allows viewers to donate $1 while promoting the phrase, A little helps a lot.

This site really hit home for me for a number of reasons. I believe in giving back to the community every chance you get. There are several nonprofits that Evil Controllers is involved with, most recently we have been involved with The Susan G. Koman Foundation, Arizona Helping Hands and most recently The AbleGamers Foundation which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.


Giving back to the community is an important part of my life, it helps me remind me that while I might be having a bad day or be stuck in a rut that there are always people who may have it worse off that I do. So remember, A little helps a lot.
