In the Previous Weeks, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops Were Played More than Battlefield 3

To much of a surprise of everyone, according to Microsoft's Xbox Live stats bothCall of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 both remained the most played video games on Xbox Live, even during the release week ofBattlefield 3.

However, don't fret and panic, fans of Battlefield 3. You should remember that Battlefield 3 was released on a Tuesday and the numbers included the number for players on Monday, so likely the numbers aren't going to be in EA's favor at this time. So it is quite possible that people who went fromBlack Ops toBattlefield 3 on Tuesday in the US (and later in the week in Europe), have their gameplay stats for Monday show up. Likely in the next few weeks, we will be able to see a more solid comparison.

Another point in favor of Battlefield 3, when Epic'sGears of War 3 hit store shelves, its numbers of gameplay were stuck between bothBlack Ops and Modern Warfare 2 as well. As of this time now, GOW3 is now the fourth most played game online after both COD games and Battlefield 3

So it's not a big concern. Even being on the top four of the most games played online today is a pretty big honor when you think about it.
