Beyond Gaming is hosting another tournament; this time in celebration of the newly released Gears of War 3. Beyond Gaming has been the host of a variety of past tournaments, and this one is another opportunity to participate and have a chance at some epic prizes. The tournament consists of Free-For-All matches that take place on Thursdays and Sundays, and it is open to anyone who wants the chance to play. Before the competition you will need to sign up for a specific round and include your gamer tag on your Beyond Gaming profile.


Cogtoberfest consists of rounds in which players will be divided into teams of four. The matches will be five minutes long, and the format is the first team to 5 wins. The top player from each team will be invited into the championship round, in which they will be competing for prizes.


The list of prizes is impressive, and if you love Gears of War this tournament is perfect for you. First place will earn themselves a custom Gears of War 3 controller from Evil Controllers, which features revolutionary design and appeal. Second place will receive a MadCatz Gears of War 3 Throat Communicator, and third place wins a $25 gift card to Split reason. As if the prizes werent good enough, you get to play Gears of War 3 in order to try and win them. All in all, this tournament will be fun for everyone and it is well worth your time to participate.
