Epic Games releases Gears of War 3 in New York with a Midnight Release, Meeting with their President, and American Chopper.

If you live in or near New York City during the release of Gears of War 3, hopefully you reserved your game at the Best Buy location in Times Square. The reason why you should is because that location will be hosting a Gears of War 3 launch party alongside its midnight release on September 20th. And at the event you will see and experience a lot of exclusive Gears of War 3 related material.

The event kicks off onSeptember 19th from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. EST at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. The main points of the event include the following:

  • Meeting Epic Games' Design Director Cliff Bleszinski and other Gears of War 3 development staff.
  • Be one of the first in line for a chance to get VIP access to the Best Buy Theater and see the surprise musical performance.
  • Meet Paul Jr. from Discovery Channels American Chopper and see the Gears of War 3 inspired chopper which was unveiled at ComicCon this past year.

Right now, this Ambassador is jealous of anyone who pre-ordered their Gears of War 3 at this location in New York. I'm going to be stuck standing in line in the hot Arizona desert night while everyone in New York gets to go see a surprise musical performance and see Paul Jr.'s GOW 3 chopper with spinning chain guns and chrome rotating skull rims.

You know what would make it more awesome? Paul Sr. crashing the party with a lancer and yelling at his son Paul Jr. for two hours. Now that's an episode I'd watch over and over again.
