New Survival Horror Game

Okay, I don't know about you guys but I was a huge fan of Gorky 17 aka Odium in the US. If you guys don't know what this is, let me explain it to you.

Gorky 17 is basically a survival horror RPG which combined the charm of point and click adventure games with turn-based combat mechanics. If you are a fan of survival horror games like Resident Evil then this game is a must play for you.

The game had received great praise upon launch and is considered a cult-classic. Unfortunately it only remained a cult-classic due to the fact that this game was known by very few gamers.

After Gorky 17, two more games were released; first was Gorky Zero (a prequel to Gorky 17) and next was Gorky 2 (a sequel).  Unfortunately, the game developers had completely changed everything that had made the original so critically successful.

In unexpected news, TopWare Interactive has announced the creation of a direct sequel to Gorky 17, called Gorky 21! This game is set to revive the series and is expected to be just like the Original but, much better.

Supposedly we will have endless character customization options in Gorky 21. Along with that they are planning on integrating an all new crafting system that will be used to upgrade weapons. The story is set to take place in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by nuclear war. We will be able to get our hands on Steampunk weapons and Nano-Technology power-ups to blast through the enemy mutants.

For now the game is set to be realeased around the last quarter (Q4) of 2012. I can't wait to find out more about this game and be certain that I will keep you posted the moment we get some more details and gameplay footage.
