It appears that 2020 may be the year that we see an announcement from Rockstar Games that they’re officially working on Grand Theft Auto 6.
The rumors stem from a job posting for Rockstar, where they’re looking for a Post-Production Video Editor, who specifies that they must have experience working on both drama and documentary-style video. This could indicate that the studio is working on a new Grand Theft Auto title, although there could certainly be other titles that are possible. The timeline does seem to line up with a new Grand Theft Auto game being in the works, seeing as how the previous entry was initially launched in September 2013 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, before eventually being ported to current-generation platforms.
Without a doubt, a new GTA game would likely be launched on the next-gen Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, seeing as how the current systems are beginning their slowdown in terms

News regarding Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 console has begun to come out, with Sony showing the system’s new logo at CES 2020.
Leaks have also been released showing the dev kits, as a cleaner at a developer snapped some pictures of the device. Unlike the boxy Xbox Series X, the dev kit for the PS5 is more obtuse, featuring a “V” look to it with a small disc slot on the bottom left. The DualShock 5 controller has also been snapped with the dev kit, showing a bulkier controller that’s awfully reminiscent of the DualShock 4. The DS5 also brings a raised touchpad as well as the adjustable tension of the triggers, which Sony has officially mentioned.
We’re still waiting on official word from Sony on the technical specs on the console, but we do know that it will feature hardware-based ray tracing technology and include a 4K Blu-Ray drive. The exact processing power isn’t known, but we expect it to be on par with the

A legendary piece of gaming history will be going on the auction block in February 2020, as the owners of the Nintendo Play Station are selling the device.
The device will go on sale via Heritage Auctions, who’ll sell it for owner Terry Diebold. Diebold used to work at a company that went bankrupt. During the company’s liquidation sale, Diebold bought a lot of property from the office, including some possessions of a former executive that also used to work at Sony. One of the items included in the lot was a Nintendo Play Station prototype, which was being worked on between the Japanese electronic giants.
The device is essentially a Super Nintendo with an attached CD drive, which was developed by Sony. The two groups were working together to enter the digital medium space to compete with the likes of Sega, whose Sega CD promised larger storage for games. Unfortunately for Sony, Nintendo bailed on them at the last minute,

For many, the concept of an Elder Scrolls online game has been buried within countless other games and content that has actually managed to see the light of day since Zenimax's announcement of ESO.
Whilst The Elder Scrolls Online did manage to launch on the PC, Zenimax also promised that the game would come to consoles, but it has been delayed well past it's original launch date, and without much talk about the game by Zenimax, it has mostly been forgotten.
That is until now however, as Zenimax and Bethesda have decided to make a bit of an announcement giving details on what the plans are for the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online in the near future.
This month, Zenimax stated that console ports of ESO is still being worked on, and in fact they are still 'steadily working on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO.'
Zenimax then went on to mention that the console versions of ESO are 'playable and fun right now, but there's still some work to

To celebrate the release of Destiny, most of Europe and the UK received a brand new PS4 bundle that included a copy of Destiny and a white PlayStation 4, along with a DualShock 4 controller.
Now that the release of Destiny has long since gone, the white PS4 bundles have slowly died out, but Sony have seen demand for the product and have decided to make plans to release the white variant of the console as a standalone device.
Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that the white PlayStation 4 will be released as a standalone product very soon, but unfortunately the console will be limited to Europe for now. As with the Destiny bundle, Yoshida failed to mention anything about a North American release for the white version.
The white standalone PlayStation 4 will cost £350, which is slightly more than the current £329 street price of the PS4. Of course, if you're in the US and you really want a white PS4, you might have to pay considerably more to get it shipped over here.

Cloud gaming is a thing of the future. Developers and publishers alike widely accept this fact to be the truth. Even the rumors surrounding the next-gen consoles, PS4 and Xbox 720, suggest that they will be featuring similar cloud gaming services and that physical media is at the end of its life cycle.
Whether physical media has become obsolete or not is still left to be determined as I (amongst many others) would still prefer to have an actual copy of the game instead of just the digital version. I believe those without access super fast internet (if any) who share my sentiment.
Regardless of these minute details one thing is for sure, cloud gaming is definitely the future. Just recently Sony has acquired the cloud gaming service Gaikai for a lump sum of $380 million. SCE boss Andrew House mentioned that with this union will allow Sony to bring "unparalleled cloud entertainment experiences."
But it seems that a totally unexpected and quite revolutionary console will

Bold statement, but certainly an interesting notion. This past weekend, Rovio (the makers of games like the crazily popular Angry Birds) CEO Peter Vesterbacka went so far as to announce his belief that console games are dying and will soon become extinct in the modern world of gaming.
Vesterbacka made this declaration at a panel moderated by Venture Beat at this last weekends South by Southwest Interactive in Texas, stating that the idea of paying $50 for a game was essentially nonsensical and would not be lasting much longer. Yes, Angry Birds has been downloaded over 100 million times according to the studio, but that definitely was quite a statement for a CEO of a still young company to come out with.
What do you think, readers? Most likely anyone reading this blog is a console gamer, seeing as Evil Controllers specifically makes controllers

Hirai to favored be next CEO of Sony.
The man who basically made a internet meme of himself at E3 back in 2006(you don't remember? here's a hint: "Riiiiiiiiidge Raceeeeeeeeeeeer!"), Kaz Hiraiis likely to be the next in line for Sony CEO, replacing Ken Kutaragi. Seen here on this Joystiq article, it's being reported that a corporate realignment will have Mr. Hirai be named as an "executive deputy president". In addition to the realignment, he will be heading up Sony's consumer products
