A brand new free update for Doom has landed and it features a number of interesting new features.
Firstly, the campaign mode for Doom now has a new scoring mode. The new scoring mode is called Arcade and it will give players score for completing levels as quickly and with as little failures as possible. In arcade mode, all items will be unlocked, so players will be able to make a choice about what to equip themselves with for the best possible outcome.
The new update also adds new features to the SnapMap level editor. Players will now be able to use assets from the classic Doom games. Not only has ID Software opened the doors for potential Doom classic remakes, but they've released a number of classic style maps that were made from SnapMap for players to try.
Multiplayer has been given some love too - A new game mode has been added called Possession. It's your typical infected game type where a group of marines have to fight against player-controlled Prowlers. If a

Doom has finally received its first DLC release. The new DLC pack is available for $15 and includes a number of new features such as new maps. The DLC is also available as part of the $40 season pass.
The release did come as bit of a surprise. We’re excited to see that ID Software are still working on releasing new content for Doom, both in terms of free content patches and paid DLC.
The newly released DLC pack includes the following:
- New map: Cataclysm
- New map: Offering
- New map: Ritual
- New weapon: UAC EMG pistol
- New item: Kinetic Mine
- New demon:the Harvester
- New armor and taunts, including robotic sets and a golf club-swinging taunt
In most cases the new maps are locked out to those who hold the DLC pack. However, if you party up with a player that owns the DLC pack you’ll be able to play the new maps even if you do not own the DLC yourself. This gives friends an option to party up and try out the new maps

The gun mechanics in Fallout 3 were a bit lacking compared to other first person shooter titles and whilst Fallout is an RPG title, it would still be nice to see an improvement in the gunplay. Fortunately Fallout 4 will be getting revamped gun mechanics and there will be plenty of changes to make the gunplay in Fallout 4 feel more like a traditional shooter.
It's great to see some positive changes being made to Fallout's combat system, but what were the changes inspired from, and what other game would be best compared to Fallout 4 when it comes to gun mechanics?
Surprisingly, Bethesda Studios hired a Bungie employee to help create a gun system that has been heavily influenced by Destiny. The gunplay in Destiny is undoubtedly very smooth - even if you dislike the game, there is no denying that the gun mechanics are very decent.
It's hard to say how much inspiration Fallout 4 will take from Destiny, but we do know that Bethesda also asked for help from Doom developer

Rage DLC Info
Although most of Bethesda's attention right now is expected to be on Skyrim DLC, and fixing the issues for PS3 players, Bethesda have still managed to release extra content for their other games, and in this instance, Rage.
It's been a little over two years since Rage was released, so it is likely most players have finished the game and have possibly sold it by now, but to those who have held onto it since then, you may want to check out the new DLC released just this week.
The new DLC, The Scorchers, costs $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points depending on platform, and is available for Xbox PS3 and PC.
The Scorchers will add lots of

People at iD Software Really Love Breaking Bad (but then again, who doesn't like Breaking Bad?)
So, if you're like me, when I take a break from PC and console gaming, I like watching some of my favorite shows on basic cable. In my past blogs, I've told you of my favorite shows like The Walking Dead, House, and Gilmore Girls, but I never did mention one of my favorite shows that I'm catching up on, Breaking Bad on AMC.
Well, if you're a fan of the intense crime drama, you'll

id Software states that you must buy a new Rage if you want to use the sewers.
A number of publishers are cutting off game content with things like online passes (one-time use code that be generally unavailable to those who buy any game used). Usually this cuts off things like online multiplayer or highly praised game content. In this case, Rage won't.

The newly released trailer for Rage gives gamers an in depth look into the post-apocalyptic shooters amazing details and game play. The trailer begins with a quote from famous author Nathaniel Hawthorne, The fiend in his own shape is less hideous than when he rages in the breast of men. I found this to not only be incredibly true, but a great definition of where Rage is going to take gamers.
Rage immerses gamers into a post-apocalyptic world overrun by war and conflicting factions. The details of the game paint the world as a society with futuristic technology that has
