The details of this year's Summer of Arcade is officially announced!
Summertime! Yep, it's here! What does that mean to you when you hear that word? No school? Trips to the beach? Grilling delicious and fattening cheeseburgers on that charcoal grill? Those are great things about summer but Xbox Live wants you to remember another thing, great deals on their hit games on Xbox Live Arcade!

Evil Ambassador Copiozo's thoughts on LA Noire.
LA Noire takes you back to 1947 Los Angeles, the second War has ended and you're Cole Phelps, a new cop with a decorated war record trying to right the wrongs of his past and then-present time LA. He starts out from the bottom and work his way to the top.
This is not your typical Rockstar game. And frankly, I love that. A breath of fresh air of stealing cars and running over pedestrians to make a faster path to whatever GTA-esque crime event you have to do. Being a boy in blue means you have to behave well. So that means

Nostalgia about Chuck E. Cheese and Arcades
I remember when I was a young lad, I remembered living in my rural town of Ottawa, Illinois. At times, my family would have to make trips to the suburb towns of Chicago like Schaumburg, Oakbrook, and others. I remember my mom, my sisters, and I would head to Joliet to get our car repaired. Right next door to the dealership was a Chuck E. Cheese (previously known as Showbiz Pizza, before it's merge in the early 1990s). I'd beg my mom to take us and while sometimes my sisters disagreed, we went.

Reasons Not to Give up Coffee
I fall victim of two things.
1: I stay up late playing Zombies, or Geo Wars, or looking around on the Internet. So the next day I have to stop and get a coffee to help jump start my day.
Or
2: I drink so much coffee during the day I end up staying up late against my will trying to fall asleep.
So you would think the result of these two things would lead me to give up coffee and gain a normal sleeping habit. Sounds great until I read an article entitled, 5 Health Reasons to not Quit Coffee. The article is actually quite interesting and I would suggest it to just about anyone.
Kerri-Ann Jennings, who is also a coffee connoisseur, states these five reasons

Is Gaming before Bedtime, bad for your Health?
Texting, watching television, and playing games before bed could be the main reason why nearly 63 percent of Americans aren't getting enough sleep these days according to the latest study fromfrom the National Sleep Foundation. They suggest to combat this problem is to have a curfew of around an hour before bedtime.
Seen here on this Kotaku article about sleep and Gaming, the study stands behind their discoveries but also claim there isn't a solid link between electronics use and poor

Games - Soul Calibur in the near future!
The designer of the Soul Calibur IV, Daishi Odashima, opened up a Twitter account on Christmas day and one of the first few tweets was to surprise his followers with a tweet saying "SC is back! Get ready, fans!". He then sweetened the deal with a tease. The tease comes in the form of him at his desk and drawing what islikely to be the new Soul Edge in the game.
With this confirmation, it looks like Namco Bandai is hard at work with now THREE franchise fighting games. They got Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Tekken vs. Street Fighter, and now a new Soul Calibur on the way.If you want to follow his tweets, follow him here: http://twitter.com/#!/daishi_calibur

I was happy enough to be invited to a release party for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Valentines hosted by the nice people who organize the annual Devastation tournament, which, in my opinion, was certainly better than some lame date with some guy I barely know that felt obligated to have a Valentine. Although it was over an hour of a trek, another Evil coworker and I gladly drove out, Evil D-pads and swag in arms to give away to attendees.
The party was at the Best Buy out in Surprise, AZ, and probably housed over 50 excited gamers in attendance. Both Evil Controllers and Monster attended the event and handed out goodies (apparently Monster drinks now come in turbo form with even more energy boosting capabilities….oy vey). People from all sorts of backgrounds attended, young, old, mid life crisis range, to play Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hours before the official release, using both our Evil D-Pad controllers or joystick pads

First comes love…then comes marriage….then comes VIDEO GAME COUPLESSSS!!! With Valentines Day around the corner, I wanted to make a compilation of my personal favorite couples in gaming. I am generally partial to the classics, so most of my choices tend to be fairly old school, but I just think it shows the timelessness of solid video game relationships (and those lucky bugs never have to age either…rude.) Heres a top 5:
Mr. and Ms. Pac-Man (Pac-Man series)
Perhaps the oldest and most classic of all video gaming couples, I think Mr. and Ms. Pac-Man definitely deserve

Game "Journey" to be Made as Art
Millions of gamers will run up to the plate to defend videogames as a legitimate art form, but not every game is truly artistic. The attribute of being artistic is a difficult attribute to define because every gamer and every critic has their own idea of what makes something undeniably Art. Without going down the path of trying to make a case of what makes a videogame artistic, or what doesn't, let's just say that every year a few titles come out that the general consensus agrees has artistic merit. In recent years these titles have been; Braid, Shadow of the Colossus, Limbo, Flower, Portal, and BioShock, just to name

Retro Halo Game
Ever wonder what Halo would be like if it had been done for the original Nintendo? Eric Ruth has answered the question by creating a retro 8-Bit Halo: Combat Evolved called Pixel Force Halo. Definitely a cool title to check out if you've been curious about the kinds of design decisions that have to be made when a game gets transformed from 2D to 3D or vice-versa.
Pixel Force Halo is a Contra-like side-scroller that incorporates what makes Halo, Halo, in a way that makes the games feel like it's doing more then just simply creating a game with a Halo skin. The 8-bit versions of the weapons found in the Halo franchise actually work in
